The Ekosian official who takes real power from the drugged John Gill and plans the extermination of the Zeons in Patterns of Force.
Melakon serves as deputy to John Gill in the Nazi-style government of Ekos. In Patterns of Force he has become the true ruler of the planet, keeping Gill drugged and presenting him to the public as the Führer while he directs the persecution of Zeons living on Ekos.
Melakon is preparing an invasion of the peaceful neighbouring planet Zeon. When Kirk and Spock bring Gill to make a broadcast exposing him, Melakon shoots Gill and is killed in turn by the Zeon resistance fighter Isak. He was played by Skip Homeier.
