One of the prisoners called the Examples, who refused rescue from the Radvek asteroid belt and died when the anomaly destroyed it.
Felix is one of the prisoners known as the Examples in The Examples. When Discovery evacuates the Radvek asteroid belt ahead of the Dark Matter Anomaly, the local magistrate refuses to release them, so Michael Burnham and Cleveland Booker free the prisoners themselves.
Felix chooses to stay. He admits that he accidentally stole an orb recording a family's heritage and then killed its owner in the struggle. Book wants to save him, but Burnham honors his wishes, and Felix dies when the belt is destroyed. Burnham later gives the orb to the murdered man's daughter.
