The wife of Kamin, the life Picard lived through the memories of the Kataan probe.
Eline is the wife of Kamin, an iron weaver in the Ressik community on the planet Kataan. When a probe launched by her doomed civilization links with Picard, he wakes in Kamin's life with Eline by his side.
In The Inner Light, Eline patiently helps the confused Picard come to terms with his new existence. Over decades of memory they build a family together, raising two children. Eline dies before the end of Kamin's life, which Picard experiences as a profound loss even after he returns to the Enterprise.
