Aaron Conor is the head of a colony on Moab IV that was founded two centuries earlier to build a perfect society through genetic engineering. Every person there was bred to fit a role, and Conor believes that leaving would shatter what they have built.
In The Masterpiece Society, Conor refuses evacuation when a stellar core fragment threatens the planet, but allows an away team to help find another solution. He and Troi develop a romantic attraction. The rescue succeeds, but some colonists choose to leave with the Enterprise, and Conor fears his society will never be the same.
